BILL MCQUILLEN
Bill McQuillen is a member of Invariant’s strategic communications and public affairs team. With more than two decades of experience, he has a deep understanding of what drives business, policymakers, and the public – shaping narratives resulting in real action and navigating difficult terrain including congressional investigations. Bill counsels clients on media strategy, public affairs, executive visibility, and reputation issues
Bill joined Invariant from Burson Cohn & Wolfe (BCW) where he was an executive vice president and Washington earned media lead. There, he led efforts ranging from crafting media strategies, implementing crisis plans, and focusing on reputation management while also preparing hundreds of executives for media engagements. He has built relationships with journalists around the globe, helping to tell stories using multiple platforms, and provided communication and strategic counsel to Fortune 100 executives.
For 15 years, Bill was a reporter at Bloomberg News covering labor and trade issues, product liability lawsuits and intellectual property, and the Department of Justice. He got his start during the 2004 presidential elections, traveling with both President Bush and Senator John Kerry, as a Bloomberg wire service pool reporter.
Bill is a graduate of The Catholic University of America and Georgetown University Law Center.
