Republican operative Joey Smith has nearly two decades of experience spanning two Republican administrations, multiple election cycles, and working in the private sector on public policy and coalition-building. He helps Invariant’s cryptocurrency and digital assets clients navigate the always-evolving regulatory and legislative landscape. Additionally, Joey works across issues ranging from tax and financial services to energy and artificial intelligence.
Joey joined Invariant after serving as director of operations for then-Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin for three years. Before that, Joey was a vice president at the Financial Services Roundtable, where he managed strategic content development and federal government engagement efforts. Additionally on the Romney for President campaign, Joey directed national campaign event operations for the vice-presidential candidate. He began his career during the George W. Bush Administration at the Interior Department and the Republican National Committee.
Joey graduated from Mississippi College.
