Republican operative Joey Smith has over fifteen years of experience, spanning two Republican administrations, multiple election cycles, and in the private sector managing public policy and coalition-building campaign efforts. He works across Invariant's clients on issues ranging from tax, financial services, and energy to health care and artificial intelligence.
Joey joined Invariant after serving as director of operations for U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin. Prior to his three years at Treasury, Joey was vice president at the Financial Services Roundtable, where he managed strategic content development and federal government engagement efforts. Additionally, Joey directed national campaign event operations for the vice-presidential candidate on the Romney for President in 2012 campaign. He began his career in Washington at the Department of the Interior during the George W. Bush Administration and at the Republican National Committee.
Joey graduated from Mississippi College.
