Teal Baker manages the day-to-day at Invariant as Chief Operating Officer, developing strategic engagement plans, crafting messaging materials, and guiding political outreach. She brings deep operational and strategic know-how after years in the Democratic campaign trenches.

Teal was deputy COO on the 2012 Obama re-election campaign, national director of surrogates on the 2008 Obama campaign, and director of entertainment for the 2009 Presidential Inaugural Committee. Between presidential campaigns, Teal was a principal and chief of staff at the Podesta Group. She got her start on Capitol Hill as a scheduler and office manager in the House.

Teal serves on the board of Girls on the Run – DC and is a lifetime member of Leadership Greater Washington. She is a graduate of Rhodes College.
