Matthew Gallagher leads the strategic communications and public affairs team in Invariant’s Washington, D.C. office. With more than 25 years of experience, Gallagher directs client management and drives business growth.

Before joining Invariant, Matthew served in several roles at BCW, including head of the firm’s North America corporate practice and senior growth leader for its combined corporate, crisis, and public affairs practice. Before BCW, Matthew spent a decade at APCO Worldwide as the managing director of the firm’s Chicago office. Matthew specializes in sustainability, energy, transportation, technology, and crisis issues.

Earlier in his career, Matthew spent more than a decade in politics in California and as a congressional aide. He is a graduate of James Madison University.
