SAM LOVE

Sam Love co-leads technology, judiciary, and commerce issues at Invariant. With an insider’s understanding of how to get to yes in a closely divided Congress and a depth of knowledge in the most active technology policy debates dominating Washington today, Sam develops and executes forward-thinking strategies to help clients achieve their objectives in Washington. On issues ranging from the allocation of scarce spectrum resources to the motivations of policymakers seeking tighter controls on online platforms, Sam leads Invariant’s work on behalf of global technology leaders and early-phase startups alike.
Sam joined Invariant after leading Senator Cory Gardner’s (R-CO) telecommunications and technology policy agenda and managing the senator’s work on the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. During his tenure, Love was instrumental in the development and passage of numerous bills, including the American Innovation and Competitiveness Act and the Internet of Things (IoT) Cybersecurity Improvement Act. Additionally, Love represented the senator in bipartisan immigration negotiations. Prior to his time in Gardner’s Senate office, Love was policy director for Gardner’s 2014 Senate campaign and worked for him in the House of Representatives.
Sam is a graduate of Bowdoin College. He serves on the executive board of the Rural Pathways Project.
